Elia Joseph Ayoub is a Lebanese writer and researcher, journalist and podcaster. specializing in cultural studies, sociology, and political science. Former MENA editor at Global Voices, IFEX, and Shado Mag. In 2020, Ayoub founded The Fire These Times, a media ecosystem connecting activists, organizers, academics, and artists from around the world to better face interconnected global challenges such as the climate crisis, the crisis of the imagination, and authoritarianism. It is currently undergoing an expansion under the banner of “From The Periphery” with several other podcasts promoting radical Lebanese, Palestinian, Syrian, Jewish, Armenian, and other perspectives from the periphery.
